The Unveiled Portrait

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. As individuals, we seldom want to be like the image we see in front of us because we do not want to accept the reflection of ourselves. So we begin to dress like, act like and even talk like someone else instead of being the portrait that God painted us to be. Soon we end up painting the perfect picture of how we want the world to see us, carrying another's identity, neglecting our own and covering up our insecurities with the things of this world. And before we know it, we are drowning in the things of this world, becoming all the things we never wanted to be, forgetting who we were and only see who we are, a false imagery that God never attended for us to be.  So now we have to pick up the pieces of our lives by accepting our faults and insecurities, leaving the old man behind and stepping into the new man that God has attended f
